The Faculty office issues practising certificates to all notaries public in England and Wales and I carry professional indemnity insurance to £1m. I am a French speaker and able to offer translation from French to English and from Italian to English. My wide range of contacts in the notarial field mean that I can quickly arrange translations from and to many other languages, particulalry central and eastern European languages, Spanish,Portuguese and German.
With my background in law and notarial work (Postgraduate Diploma in Notarial Practice 2009), science (BSc honours physics 1977) and study of classical cultures (MA with Merit Classical Studies 2016) I specialise in offering the translation of scientific and engineering literature, as well as legal and historical works.
I can also offer proof reading of texts previously translated into English. This is useful to ensure that the language used is appropriate to the target audience and where appropriate idiomatic and accurate.
